Summary
Robert Half is seeking a Contract Accounting Analyst to join the Terms and Conditions department. The department’s primary objective is to ensure all staffing transactions are covered by contractual terms and are recorded and processed in accordance with those terms and US GAAP. This objective is accomplished through the review, implementation, and monitoring of the executed contracts and related business transactions processed under the contracts for compliance with the terms and US GAAP. In addition, to accomplish the objective the department is responsible for the timely and accurate distribution of RH's terms and conditions documents (T&C's) in a customer friendly manner.
Responsibilities
* Ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with contract terms and revenue recognition policies by conducting auditing procedures, resolving payment discrepancies, researching issues for root cause, and working with other departments to prevent future issues. * In certain contractual arrangements, Robert Half relies upon a third party document as the T&C document for revenue recognition purposes. Analyst will obtain the third party document, validate the pricing terms agree to RH systems, and upload document into RH systems for proper document retention. * When pricing terms does not match between the third party document and RH's system, Analyst will work with Front Office to resolve the difference and ensure that either RH's system or the third party document is modified to ensure proper revenue recognition. * Assist with special projects as requested by RH or the manager.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or equivalent, relevant work experience. * With a degree, 3+ years’ of accounting and/or financial analysis experience required. Experience performing reconciliations and knowledge of revenue recognition principles is required. * Without a degree, 6+ years’ experience in the areas emphasized above. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). * Experience with ERP systems preferred. * Familiarity with PeopleSoft and Microsoft Access a plus. * Ability/aptitude to learn new software programs.
