Summary
DevOps Engineers at Rally Health work incredibly close with our engineering and product teams to help design, implement, and scale our predominantly Scala and MongoDB based architecture. We are obsessively focused on maintaining high availability for all of the services we manage, while also implementing the infrastructure solutions that our product teams need in order to succeed. If you have implemented and supported a cutting edge public cloud environment on top of: AWS, MongoDB, CDN, ELB; deployed and managed environment using Chef; and have excellent analytical skills, and a taste for good engineering. Your work will contribute to the design and management of serious infrastructure that is servicing large amounts of data and traffic, work with an outstanding engineering team, and employ state-of-the-art tools and techniques.
Responsibilities
* Build and maintain a highly fault tolerant infrastructure on public cloud * Build and document cutting-edge automation tools to improve capacity and velocity for software engineers and production operations * Collaborate with our development team to implement and evolve solutions for a wide array of challenging projects * Improve provisioning, automation, configuration, integration, deployment and release processes * Mentor, train and develop team members for career progression and learning * Participate in 7x24 on-call rotation
Ideal Candidate
* BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience * Ability to demonstrate critical thinking, providing options, recommendations, and additional actions relating to resolving issues, mitigating risks and resolving escalated items * Strong Linux system administration, network troubleshooting skills * Strong experience using open source tools; Apache, Nginx, WebApps * Strong Programming experience in Ruby and/or Python * CI, Jenkins and Continuous Deployment, followed SDLC processes * Managed large Cloud production deployments, using Chef and/or Puppet * Extensive experience managing and supporting very large-scale, public-facing websites * Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, work well under pressure and be obsessive about security, quality and performance * Hosted and cloud-based service experience; EC2/AWS and/or Rackspace
