Responsibilities
Responsible for ownership of sales process for partner sourced and influenced business and supporting Rackspace sales teams to drive revenue goals for Digital platforms, specifically eCommerce. The candidate will provide subject matter expertise about a platform, industry, or vertical and work as a liaison between and involved partners and our sales team. This position requires understanding of customers’ business needs, specific market demands, and selling products and services that would benefit customer goals. Additional duties include participating in calls, meetings, and/or internal planning sessions. Responsible for providing daily guidance to both Acquisition and Install Base Sales Representatives, while working directly with senior leadership to ensure organization and company-wide goals are met. In some cases, this may require running point on key strategic opportunities. Helps manage each qualified opportunity through the full sales cycle from lead to close.
Ideal Candidate
**Knowledge/Skills/Ability:** * Excellent knowledge of Rackspace’s products/services, pricing practices, and sales process. * Demonstrated, strong analysis capabilities and technical knowledge by providing innovative, supportable technical solutions. * Strong follow through techniques and the ability to respond under pressure. * Ability to effectively communicate over the phone, through email, and face to face meetings with all levels within an organization. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Demonstrated analytical/problem solving ability. Time management, critical thinking, and organizational skills required. **Job Complexity:** * Responsible for tracking and supporting revenue within sales segment. * Job will require supporting oppofortunities for the full sales cycle from lead to close, primarily solution-based sales. * Assist SE/support with sizing and infrastructure planning. * Agree upon joint selling planning involving partner and Rackspace sales team if a partner is actively selling with Rackspace. * Support and identify highly strategic and high revenue opportunities. * Define buying process with custsomer’s Executive Sponsor. * Conduct discovery with key influencers and decision-makers within the account. * Collaborates with stakeholders to determine the best product solution and services fit via conference calls, site visits, and e-mail correspondence. * Works with the sales teams to craft deliverables to present to prospects. * Participates in proof of concepts and/or desmonstrations. * Crafts a solution and aligns solution to strategic needs of customer, partner, and Rackspace. **Experience/Education:** * High school diploma or equivalent required. * Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2 – 4 years related sales and/or technical support experience. * Prefer degree in technology, marketing or business. * A minimum of 2 years of sales experience. * Additional experience may be substituted for education. * Technical experience must be in a related technology.
