You’ll accompany them on sales calls to Global 2000 companies, providing Subject Matter Expertise on our Marketing applications. You are a key contributor in the sales cycle, articulating the Teradata Applications value proposition, providing custom demos, and consulting on vertical markets and technical matters. Responsibilities
* Understand the specific marketing challenges of the prospect and determine how Teradata solutions (products and services) can solve these challenges. * Gather business and application requirements to facilitate the selling process with prospective Teradata customers * Act as a Subject Matter Expert on Marketing applications in sales settings * Provide customized product demonstrations, chalk talks, presentations, and general sales support in interactions with prospective TD Applications customers * Act as a consultant by analyzing particular vertical market and technical matters with our customers and prospects * Effectively demonstrate and communicate the capabilities and value of TD Applications’ solutions (products and services) 7. Feed knowledge gained from customers and prospects back to the Product Group * Work with Sales force in transforming prospective customers into actual customers. * Maintain deep technical knowledge as it relates to the Marketing applications. * Respond to RFPs and coordinate overall functional and technical responses
Ideal Candidate
* Ability to travel 60% of the time (flexibility required to meet customer requirements) * Ability to demonstrate effective presentation skills and passion for product and business value * A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Management, General Business or a Computer-related discipline * A minimum of 4 yrs of pre-sales experience or technical support experience working for an enterprise software company * Minimum 2-4 years working in a Marketing Department; database/online Marketing; interactive Marketing; managing Marketing Campaigns, etc. * Strong knowledge of web based applications and architecture * Working knowledge of OLAP, data warehousing, data mining/analytics technology * Ability to work effectively in a small team environment * Strong time management skills and multitasking abilities * Excellent communication and professional skills * Demonstrable history of self-starter, autonomous, independent work-style
