Summary
The Director of Marketing manages the development of activities related to implementing marketing strategies, branding, achieving marketing objectives and creating distinct target audiences. Responsibilities include: branding and positioning development, market research and analysis; planning and executing promotion and advertising activities, partnership development and execution, and communication planning as directed by SVP of Marketing & Business Strategy.
Responsibilities
- Work in close partnership with SVP of Marketing & Business Strategy to identify opportunities, and develop plans and action steps to reach marketing goals. - Contributes to marketing effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing directives. - Ensure marketing communications are coordinated, support marketing plan objectives and meet organizational goals consistent with overall marketing strategies. - Works on brand development activities which include positioning work, target audience analysis, understanding consumer drivers, creating psychographic profiles and creating a consistent look, feel and message across platforms. - Manages the marketing communication and creative materials process including the creation, development and distribution of trade ads, marketing collateral, radio spots and TV spots. - Works to create, develop and execute affiliations and partnership arrangements. - Devises communications and PR plans and strategies and shares across the organization. - Works with the SVP in the development and coordination of business strategy. - Works to build relationships and work closely with PR counterparts/agencies to gain exposure. - Provide leadership and manages the design, development and implementation of a communications plan for and across all platforms. - Analyzes data, diving into research to develop consumer insights, creating useful reports and reporting processes in an effort to reshape the brand. - Assists with direct market research, competitor analyses and consumer data across all platforms to create a consistent reporting, monitoring and analysis system. - Think in terms of business management including demonstrating cost effective ways to increase productivity, manage expenses, etc. - Other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities** - Must have BA degree and at least 7 years of successful result oriented marketing track record. - - Must have experience in consumer marketing, strategy, media, advertising, marketing research, media or entertainment. - Experienced in utilizing research that translates into insightful marketing plans. - Must be very organized with strong attention to detail.
