Summary
The primary responsibility of the Benefits Analyst is to provide excellent customer service to PSA employees by resolving all benefits related issues with a concentration on Health and Retirement programs. This is a Part-time position.
Responsibilities
* First-level of contact and resource for employee benefit questions. * Understands PSA’s vision, mission, and strategy; understands PSA’s objectives and accomplishes individual performance goals accordingly. * Perform tasks to support the day to day operations of PSA benefit programs. * Counsel and educate participants regarding benefit programs and plan administrator process. * Provide assistance in coordinating annual Open Enrolment. Work with leadership to quickly escalate sensitive employee benefit issues with urgency and clarity of facts around employee issue. * Collaborate with vendors (plan administrators) and consultants. * Understand system and day to day administration of PSA policies and programs. * Oversee processing of all documents necessary for implantation of various benefits programs and maintenance of such records as required for compliance with ERISA, COBRA, and other applicable regulations. * Other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
* At least 10 years of Health and Welfare benefits analysis experience with the ability to self-learn * Experience that demonstrates team player and flexibility * Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain appropriate level of confidentiality * Must be able to work independently and make sound decisions supported by facts and data * Proven ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure. * Strong functional and technical skills. * Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization. * Experience building cross-functional relationships to build consensus and create results. * Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written.
