Real Estate Acquisition Analyst-Investment Group
PM Realty Group, a national, privately held real estate services firm, is seeking an Acquisition Analyst to work with one of its institutional clients headquartered in Glendale, CA. The Acquisition Analyst will be based in the client’s office in either Glendale, CA or Chicago, IL, and will be responsible for assisting its Investment Group in the evaluation, underwriting, and acquisition of institutional real estate investments across the United States.
Evaluation, underwriting, due diligence investigation, and closing of potential real estate investments, including direct equity, joint venture, senior and mezzanine loan placement, preferred equity, and other structured finance investments. Potential investment targets include development, stabilized, renovation, rehabilitation, and value-add opportunities.
Skill Requirements
- Understanding of office, industrial, multifamily and retail valuation concepts and drivers.
- Excellent analytical skills including demonstrated proficiency in Excel, as well as general knowledge of the institutional investment process.
- Ability to operate effectively in markets located throughout the United States.
- Ability to interact professionally with market participants to extract timely and germane information relevant to the investment process.
- Ability to understand, interpret and summarize real estate documentation pertaining to ownership structures, legal contracts, accounting, and property operations.
- Excellent writing skills and the ability to thoroughly document and generate written reports conveying complex real estate issues to a diverse audience.
- Capacity to successfully manage multiple tasks in a dynamic professional environment.
Experience Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in related field (real estate / finance / accounting)
- 0 to 2 years experience in commercial real estate analysis (internship at real estate firms will be considered)
- Working knowledge of ARGUS software preferred
