Responsibilities
* Under Supervision of the On Island Administrator, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for assisting in the overall operation of the Island. Also, provide secretarial support to the On Island Administrator. * Assist with the distribution of staff on the Island according to the matrix. * Answer telephone and respond to telephone requests. * Prepare out going abnormal labs and radiology as required. * Maintain Radiology and Laboratory logbook. * Create and maintain all on Island reports. * Assist with typing and word processing for the Operations department. * Maintain sick call blotter. * Maintain matrix par level by replacing staff as needed. * Assist with transporting staff from one facility to another. * Assist with transporting supplies (i.e. medical records, medication & equipment) when the driver is off duty or unavailable. * Perform other duties as assigned by On Island Administrator/Department head. **THERE ARE TWO PART TIME SCHEDULES AVAILABLE:** * Sat/Sun 8-4 Mon 4-12 * Sat/Tues/Wed 4-12
Ideal Candidate
* Possess a High School diploma or GED * Minimum of three (3) years experience as an administrative assistant and/or medical secretary experience preferred. * Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel. Microsoft Access a plus. * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Typing skills a minimum of 50 wpm.
