Summary
IAT has a current opening for a Personal Injury Protection (PIP) Supervisor Reporting to the PIP Manager in our Coral Springs, Florida location. This position is responsible for providing day to day administrative and technical supervision to a staff of Claims Representatives whose primary tasks are the adjudication and settlement of PIP claims. This role will oversee the staff adjusters to ensure that file handling meets company standards and statutory guidelines and will direct work assignments, manage work schedules and review work-in-progress. Furthermore, this role will be involved in all personnel actions including hiring, performance reviews and salary recommendations and will coordinate training and development for direct reports. This role will also manage quality assurance and serve as a technical resource to subordinates and others in the organizations as well as review more complex cases and settle or initiate further action within approved authority limits and will be responsible for ensuring productivity, loss ratio, quality handling and budget goals are achieved by the team.
Responsibilities
* Reviewing files for accuracy and completion * Granting authority on claim reserves and payments. *Monitoring pending and reserve adequacy within the unit. * Reviewing incoming file assignments and work load, ensuring appropriate distribution amongst adjusters. * Providing performance feedback and training to adjusters. * Administering quarterly and annual performance evaluations to associates. * Resolving elevated calls from customers. * May need to travel to mediations and trials * Primary contact for medical review vendor.
Ideal Candidate
* College degree * 5+ years experience or equivalent work experience. * Supervisory or Managerial experience required. * Must posess abilities to communicate with the public and legal/technical professionals appropriately. * Must have a FL Adjuster License and maintain mandated continuing education requirements.
