Cashier

The Food and Beverage Cashier is responsible for totaling and processing guest food and beverage purchases in a restaurant while continuing to deliver outstanding guest service to both external and internal customers. Receives and disburses money using of the Micros Point of Sale (POS) register by processing credit and debit card transactions, and validate guest’s checks. Provide guests with excellent customer service during guests dining experience.

* Exceed First Class Service standards and behavior with every guest, business partner and peers. * Greet and acknowledge guests upon check-out from dining outlet. * Accurately total, process and collect payments from guests to include, but not limited to, using the point-of-sale system. Handles money, processes credit and debit cards, makes change, while complying with the company’s Cash Handling and Loss Prevention Standard Operating Procedures. * Ascertain guest satisfaction and work to resolve any guest issues or concerns, enlisting the assistance of a manager, if necessary. * Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner. * Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the restaurant's menu and products. * Assist with new team member training by positively reinforcing successful performance and offering assistance as needed. * Support other areas of the restaurant as requested, such as seating customers, answering telephones, stock work, cleanup and documentation. * Maintain clean organized work environment that is free of safety hazards including trash, sweeping, mopping, and dishes. * Accountable for compliance with all local, state, federal laws and regulation including those relating to food safety. * Other duties as assigned.

**Required Skills** * High School diploma or GED * Minimum of 1 year experience in food service desired, but not required * Customer service focused and solution oriented * Must enjoy and be able to succeed in a fast-paced work environment * Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guest and team members. * Strong math and written communication skills. **Required Experience** * Ability to work various shifts in a 7/365 team oriented environment * Excellent customer service skills and an ability to communicate effectively * Self-starter able to prioritize and handle various tasks simultaneously * Ability to adapt to changing priorities and unexpected situations * Proficiency required in reading and writing and mathematics * Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. perform essential job functions such as standing, bending, reaching, climbing on ladder, and walking long distances. * Standing for long periods of time and the ability to work in environment with varying temperatures.
