Cafe Worker

Established in 1909, the Tillamook County Creamery Association (TCCA) is a cooperative of 110 dairy farming families guided by century-old values of quality, cooperation, integrity, stewardship and responsiveness. Since then, the farmer-owners of Tillamook have been committed to providing families with the most consistent, best tasting, highest quality dairy products made in the most natural way possible.

Tillamook County Creamery Association is seeking courteous, helpful, enthusiastic individuals with extraordinary guest service skills to fill seasonal vacancies in our fast-paced Visitors’ Center. We currently have an opening as a VC Food Service Worker.As a VC Food Service Worker you will be assigned to the role of Café Cashier, but may rotate through the other roles (Ice Cream Scooper, Busser, or Dishwasher) as needed. You will work alongside our experienced team members to provide excellent guest service to the one million guests that visit us annually.

* Carry orders out to customers in dining area, projecting a pleasant and professional manner. * Maintain up-to-date knowledge on all café menu items and to answer customer questions. * Bus tables and straighten tables and chairs. Keep floors clean and free of debris. Check fountain and coffee stations. Keep work area sanitary. * Clean all shelving and service areas behind counters daily. Maintain high level of cleanliness and organization in the café at all times. * Stock set-up areas behind counters daily and replenish supplies as needed. * Take phone orders for internal customers accurately and with proper phone etiquette, and assist with deliveries of orders to other departments. * Perform opening/closing procedures when scheduled for that shift. * Serve customers by taking orders on POS system. Take customer payment, make change correctly and maintain an accurate cash drawer. * Assist the cooks in the kitchen with prep, set up, stocking and any other chores needed in preparing customer’s orders.

**Education and Experience** * High School Diploma or GED preferred. * Food service experience is preferred. * Customer service experience preferred. * Must obtain Food Handlers Card within 30 days of hire. **Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities** * Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors and the general public. * Ability to communicate effectively. * Must be computer literate. * Must be a team player and be able to interact with staff at all levels of the company. * Possess strong customer service skills. * Ability to follow written or verbal instruction. * Read, write, speak and understand English. * Basic arithmetic. **Physical Requirements** * Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. * Must be able to stand entire shift.
