Summary
The Product Manager position owns all aspects of Out-of-store Advertising and takes responsibility for driving and influencing the support and success of products and features. Working with Marketing, Product Development, Business Development, and other internal cross-functional groups, this role will ensure the timely development and support of the platforms and infrastructure. In addition, the Product Manager will participate in roadmap development for current and future platforms to drive timely execution of the company’s Out-of-store Advertising product(s) focused on digital ads on websites, emails, mobile apps, etc.
Responsibilities
- Manage the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities - Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research - Define new product features and requirements, UX, scope, and functionality - Partner with internal and external stakeholders to bring product concept to global launch - Help define product roadmaps, prioritize feature sets and partner with development teams - Collaborate with the development team through day-to-day interactions - Obtain feedback on the product to iterate and drive improvements in future releases - Maintain pulse on external and internal product developments to assess implications for our products - Align stakeholders on product direction - Analyze business needs and develop business cases, requirements and specifications in support of company product roadmap - Identify and maintain internal customer relationships that will contribute to the success of the software support tools - Advise the sales team on the product(s) to ensure they are able to effectively sell the product(s) - Lead the development of specific product plans that are consistent with the strategy, including product specifications, cost targets, internal promotion, and training - Participate in roadmap development to improve efficiency and maximize value of theProximity Marketing - Drive a solution set across development teams (primarily Development/Engineering, and Marketing Communications) through market requirements, product contract, and positioning - Develop and implement a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute - Determine appropriate product pricing by utilizing market research data - Assist the Sales team in identifying and developing effective promotional and sales tools and collateral marketing pieces
Ideal Candidate
**Education & Experience** - Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related Bachelor's degree required; MBA, MS Engineering or related preferred - 7+ years of experience in technology company or service provider with software product planning responsibilities - Strong process background - Must be familiar with the advertising technology industry - Experience in advertising technology industry is preferred **Knowledge, Skills & Abilities** - Knowledge of web-based technology; good understanding of product development process, agile methods, and product requirements building and definition - Good understanding of system reliability and uptime metrics - Exceptional Product and Program level management skills to lead a team in the successful execution of projects to achieve business results - Strong analytic skills to correctly determine and interpret data for optimal product planning - Very organized, energetic and detail oriented individual, comfortable in fast paced environment -Position requires ability to travel approximately up to 50% of the time **Physical Requirements** - Sedentary work involves remaining in a stationary position most of the time in front of a computer, using a keyboard, mouse and telephone. - Regularly operate a computer and other office equipment. - Occasionally move about the work site to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc. - Exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or regularly move objects. - Communicate and exchange information with co-workers and other individuals in person and electronically. - This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. - Employee may perform other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
