Summary
As Manager of Content Partnerships, you will be the face of NewsCred to our publisher partners, the content supply side of the business. This position is part content acquisition and part managing those partnerships both externally and internally. You are responsible for the health, breadth and depth of our Licensed Content Marketplace, the satisfaction of our partners and the happiness of customers using our licensed content.
Responsibilities
* Cross-team collaboration and analysis: Work with the Content Team and Customer Success Team to identify content gaps in our product using data and input on customer demand * Market Research: Identify and define the most attractive target content providers to fulfill customer demand and establish a pipeline * Value based selling: Reach out to targets publishers, articulate the NewsCred opportunity and the value it can bring, whether monetary or other tangible benefits * Negotiation: Ushering partners through the licensing agreement process and negotiating terms * Go To Market: On-boarding new publishers into our eco-system and bringing them to market with our sales, editorial, and account management teams * Partnership Management: Ongoing provider communication. This includes obtaining their approval on certain client deals, explaining client opportunities and use cases, sharing revenue and usage reports, keeping partners informed and engaged through updates and communications and maintaining healthy, frictionless partnerships * Leveling up: Establish high-level (C-suite) relationships inside our partners and craft presentations that appeal to their goals * Voice of the Provider: Meet with your partners regularly to obtain their feedback and ideas and help translate them into internal action items to improve our Content Marketplace
Ideal Candidate
* 5 + years in content licensing, inbound or outbound, or content partnerships * Ability to persuade, convince and excite potential partners * Track record of favorable negotiations * Analytical with an understanding of how data can be applied to identify opportunities and craft stories * Results oriented, creative, highly communicative and independent * Team player with relationship-building skills and a proven ability to facilitate cross-organizational alignment * Thrive in a high-growth, dynamic environment * Contract experience is a plus
