Responsibilities
- Manage multiple PR and social media accounts - Drafting of all relevant client and press materials (i.e. pitches, news releases, bios, media alerts, message points etc) - Pitch and place stories with broadcast, print and online media outlets - Social media fan base building and strategy - Ongoing client relations - Creating and managing special events - Media list building and updating - New business proposal writing and presenting - Managing Junior team members
Ideal Candidate
- Minimum of 2-4 years of public relations experience - Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or related field - Outstanding writing skills - Proven track record of building brands through strategic PR efforts - Established regional & national relationships with key media contacts in broadcast, online and print outlets a plus - Brand-based social media experience; managing multiple accounts a plus - Committed user of tools such as HootSuite, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc - Client account management experience - Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills - Articulate, professional and positive - Detail-oriented and able to service multiple accounts simultaneously - Creative point of view - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team - PR database knowledge i.e. Cision, Meltwater, etc. - Email marketing experience a plus
