Responsibilities
* Provide strong leadership to NCR credit teams to support NCR working capital & free cash flow targets. Make appropriate decisions on credit risk, financial exposure, and setting credit limits. * Leverage data and analytics to understand credit risks and shape proactive strategies to support NCR company strategies * Active interaction with customers and account teams to establish appropriate credit terms; managing relationships with clients in order to reduce exposure to potential bad debt * Direct management of company aged receivables and accounts receivable write-offs * Refine and enhance credit strategy utilizing knowledge of industry leading practices. Work in parallel with our sales goals and initiatives. * Implementation and maintenance of a set of comprehensive Credit Risk Policies and Procedures * Execution of bad debt forecasting, and reporting results * Ensure smooth integration of recently acquired companies into credit process * Reporting to the Functional Director on a monthly basis on outstanding aged accounts. Assist with forecasting and review of customer analytics. * Ensure active engagement with internal and external partner teams, including Division CFO’s, Controllers, Treasury, Sales, Service Delivery Managers, Billing teams and other organizations to optimize cash receipts, and minimize AR aging profile and bad-debt expense. * Ensure adherence to credit guidelines and facilitate resolution of related issues. * Drive continuous improvements to NCR Credit practices and policies to support an effective business control environment * Work within company’s credit policy, recommending changes and improvements as necessary to support an effective business control environment considering sales growth and other business / industry changes. Proactive review of customer credit limits to avoid issues, management of bankruptcy process * Continually assess and build strong and effective individual / team talent to optimize performance * Support 3rd Party Partner training; identification of training needs, review training material, conduct training as needed, and ensure end-to-end process training occurs within the industry sales and service teams * Manage and support continuous improvement projects identified through the corporate governance process
Ideal Candidate
* Undergraduate Degree in Accounting or Finance, with 5+ years experience in accounting and/finance * 5+ years of supervision or lead experience in credit management * Strong leadership skills – the ability to persuade and gain buy-in at all levels * Excellent analytical skills, with knowledge of collections, credit, accounting and finance principles, experienced in assessing portfolio and customer risk * Ability to adjust to and work effectively in a dynamic, changing environment * Superior verbal and written communication skills (at all levels of management) * Direct and indirect management skills * Good conflict management and negotiation skills * Demonstrated ability to effectively build positive and profitable global business with customers * International credit experience * Experience working with offshore outsourced teams * Cross functional, multi-national experience *
