Summary
The Business Analyst consults with business owners regarding business needs and translating business needs into analytics/reporting requirements.
Responsibilities
* Conducting analysis of business and user needs in order to develop requirements documentation * Creating business documentation that details the BI requirements and deliverables * Interfacing with programmers and the client to ensure successful delivery of client reporting requirements * Conducting analysis of business and user needs in order to develop requirements documentation * Working in conjunction with the business users and development teams, responsible for the creation and execution of test scripts, scenarios, and test plans that validate initial business requirements.
Ideal Candidate
* Six (6) years demonstrated hands-on development experience with: * Oracle 10g/11g database business and systems analysis, design, testing and maintenance including requirements gathering (ie, JAD sessions, client interviews, focus groups) and development. (Experience must include working within the environment used by OMH-OBIEE 11G.) * End user documentation development (ie, business requirements documents, use cases, flow charts, report mock-ups, swim lane diagrams, prototypes, screen designs) * Quality assurance testing (including content and load testing) and development of user acceptance documents. * Business Intelligence tools and data analytics background and an in depth understanding of how to design and create OBIEE applications, and reporting (Experience must include woking within the health care business intelligence environment used by OMH-OBIEE 11G) * Project management tools, delegating assignments, and tracking project status and project management software such Microsoft Word, Excel and Access 2000, Project Manager, Visual FoxPro, and Visual Basic. * Three (3) years demonstrated hands-on experience * Developing end user training materials * Two (2) years demonstrated hands-on experience in * Business Intelligence tools and data analytics background and an in depth understanding of how to design and create OBIEE dashboards and analytic reporting solutions with a OBIEE11g * Bachelors degree in business intelligence, information science, computer science, mathematics, public/business administration * Strong analytics and communications background (e.g., math, statistics, quantitative methods, and verbal and writing proficiency) * Excellent verbal and written English communication skills * Effective communications skills and the ability to interact well with colleagues * Strong Business Intelligence tools and data analytics background and an in-depth understanding of how to design and create BI applications, and health care business intelligence reporting solutions. **Desirable Qualifications:** * Exposure to data modeling for data warehouse star, snowflake schema designs * Exposure to data modeling/ETL design
