Summary
The primary duty is to participate in overall business planning, linking current and future technologies and systems in such a way as to improve Milwaukee's competitive position and profitability.
Responsibilities
* Craft Information Technology vision based on long term corporate wide information needs and develop overall strategy for systems development, hardware acquisition, and integration of different technologies and applications. * Serve as the highest level interface between the business functional leaders in determining overall information and technology approach. Build close partnerships with each client executive by understanding their business goals and delivering IT solutions that create value and a return on their investment. * Lead Information Technology team to create and deliver best in class client based solutions with core business technology systems (ERP, WMS, CRM, etc.). * Improve core business capabilities through championing of innovative technologies and processes. * Develop customer facing technology strategy which will allow Milwaukee Tool to leverage technology to improve our customer and suppliers’ experience with Milwaukee Tool. * Develop and drive a human capital management strategy, recruiting and retaining the IT skills and capabilities needed for success, as well as infuse the technology organization with stronger competency and leadership skills. * Assess current Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) needs and develop the appropriate plan to execute system enhancements that will provide efficient, reliable technology operations throughout the global enterprise. * Evaluate data security needs and create strategy to address these needs. * Define and communicate plans, policies, and standards across the Company enterprise for acquiring, implementing, and operating IT systems; competently articulate the role of functional IT investments while re-emphasizing the business value and capability of the centralized IT function. * Ensure the work being performed by Information Technology team is aligned with the priorities of the Milwaukee organization. * Develop, track, and optimize the IT annual operating and capital budgets. * Lead and direct all IT activities for Milwaukee Tool. Activities include infrastructure implementation and support for voice and data, systems development and process improvement, information delivery, and internet development, maintenance and operations. * Ensure IT system operations adhere to applicable laws and regulations. * Keep current with trends and issues in the IT industry, including emerging technologies and practices, especially related to manufacturing operations, data and business process security, as well as data and information management domains. * Embrase Milwaukee Tool culture and be a role model for how to adjust to change and competing priorities.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or Business Administration required; an advanced degree will enhance the candidate’s qualifications. * Minimum of 12 years of progressive information systems experience, including a minimum of 5 years as the CIO, VP-Information Systems, or the senior IS executive in a mid-sized or enterprise manufacturing organization. * Possesses personal presence and an open and direct style to establish quick and effective credibility within the IT organization, as well as with a diverse set of department heads and the user community; the ability to collaborate and influence is critical. * Experience in developing, executing and managing a large scale IT operating and capital budget. * Strategic thinker with strong operational and communication skills; comfortable communicating at all levels within the organization * Demonstrated ability to communicate the value of technology and strategic paradigms to technical and non-technical constituents, including C-level leaders. * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. * Exceptional service orientation and customer focus. * Experience in Mobile-first environment execution, internal and external. * Experience leading teams in IoT knowledge and data analytics to use data to drive value in all areas of business. * Ability to lead team to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced, and agile culture.
