Manufacturing Scheduler

As the global biologics research and development arm of AstraZeneca, MedImmune is pioneering innovative research and exploring novel pathways across key therapeutic including respiratory, inflammation, and autoimmunity; cardiovascular and metabolic disease; oncology; neuroscience; and infection and vaccines.

The primary role of the production scheduler is to establish, communicate and maintain the manufacturing schedule with consideration of various complex equipment constraints.

* Interfaces with Manufacturing, Facilities, Engineering, Manufacturing Sciences and Technology, QA and QC. * Anticipates potential schedule issues and conflicts and present options for resolution to functional management in a clear and concise manner. * Builds and maintains strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective communication of production schedules and issues. * Partners with line management in prioritizing activities and resources to meet business goals, applying sound business concepts and techniques as they relate to human resource management. * Responsible for providing timely and accurate reports to management as necessary * Other duties as assigned or identified.

* Planning and scheduling of multifaceted manufacturing processes and unit operations. * Proficient in computer skills and MS Office applications * Good organizational skills * Situational Leadership * Decision making skills * Must demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and effective presentation skills * 3 years' experience in a GMP facility with experience in inventory control, record keeping and filing, project management, maintenance planning * and scheduling * Bachelors of Science, business, engineering, or other relevant field preferred. * Associates Degree with 5+ years' experience * HSD with 10+ years' experience * Limited supervision and minimal instructions needed on routine work. * Assignments are received in objective-oriented terms. * Possesses ability to make and act on routine decisions. * Anticipates potential issues and conflicts and presents options for resolution to functional management in a clear and concise manner. * Possesses ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of practical problems. * Possesses ability to apply common sense understanding and knowledge of when to stop and seek input and approval from management.
