Responsible for the analysis, acquisition, installation, modification and support of operating systems, databases, and utilities. Conducts both systems and application programming and support activities. Activities include new or targeted maintenance programming. Development and monitor effective languages, processing routines, hardware utilization and utilization of database management techniques. Develops and reviews operator and control instructions. Prepares and conducts system and application programming tests to benchmark high volume interaction of hardware and software components. Conducts programming tasks including program design, program coding, debugging and documentation. As directed, prepares feasibility studies and designs tests to determine operating characteristics of software.
- Ability to isolate and indentify root cause issues with performance and execution across diverse set of operating platforms.
- Has the ability to develop applications for an environment with extremely high uptime requirements
- Experience in providing application execution and operational support
- Ability to provide feedback and guidance on potential technical directions based on technical requirements.
- Responsible for the analysis, installation, modification and support of application environments delivering real time services
- Ability to assess hardware and database utilization to address performance planning.
- Develops and reviews operator and control instructions.
- Prepares and conducts system and programming tests to support application reliability.
- Performs programming tasks including program design, coding, debugging and documentation
Minimum Requirements
- 8+ years experience in software engineering and/or software architecture.
Critical Skills
- 5+ years experience in systems or real time programming environments—will be doing 40% applications development. Must have support experience and be willing to do Technical support/ troubleshooting. Will be supporting the Payors community.
- Experience with Unix, Kernal, C, C++
- US National required.
Education
- 4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
