Summary
The Credit Documentation Analyst provides support and exceptional service for Commercial Lending divisions by streamlining the processing of loan data gathering post approval through closing. The incumbent is the subject matter expert for commercial loan transactions, as well as the system expert in CustomLender/ Commercial Workflow System and Fiserv/AS 400, providing direction to Commercial Banking Associates and Credit Analysts. Additionally, this role orders and reviews searches and title work; prepares escrow instructions for real estate closings; works closely with title companies, and schedules closings with borrowers and counsel as required.
Responsibilities
* Collaborates with credit analyst, loan officer, CBA, and field credit to build synergy with divisions improving workflow efficiency and data integrity of deal. Identifies and addresses discrepancies and/ or deficiencies with loan request by analyzing information collected. Works closely with assigned divisions on pending loans in the pipeline to ensure timely loan processing. * CustomLender/ Commercial Workflow System expert at deal inception. Identifies all facility structure details from the loan documentation and credit approvals and makes determinations on the most appropriate ways to structure the deal. Reviews existing deals on AS400 and verifies loan documents via Nautilus to validate existing deal structure. Works closely with Credit Analyst and RM to resolve any discrepancies to ensure the final documents allow the deal to function as anticipated and approved * Performs and conducts all necessary due diligence searches, recordings and regulatory requirements (i.e. FEMA, Reg U, Reg B, etc.) as applicable to comply with credit approval, internal procedures and credit policy. * Prioritizes, reviews and submits error free deals to both Loan Documentation Specialist (LaserPro deals) and Loan Coordinator (Outside Counsel deals) in a consistent and timely manner while adhering to pre-determined turnaround time frames and accuracy level percentages. * Provides direction to CBAs on required documents needed from client, such as all entity records (CIP and know your customer information), along with copies of Articles of Incorporation/Organization, operating agreement, partnership agreements and insurance. * Facilitates the funding of loans. Reviews title commitments, prepares escrow closing instructions for LaserPro title closings, makes recommendation on endorsements and decisions to facilitate the closing, and ensures closing requirements are met prior to funding. * Works with title companies to schedule closing with borrower and counsel. * Manages documentation exception items. Uses professional judgement to identify exceptions. Communicates the appropriate corrective action required and the solution to resolve post-closing issues and/or documentation deficiencies. Ensures satisfactory resolution of all exceptions. * Provides back up support to documentation department during high volume periods or when understaffed. * Complies with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations. * “LIVE” the Bank’s Mission Statement and “PRACTICE” the Bank’s Corporate Strategy. * Other duties as assigned.

Prior loan (analyst, documentation or closing) experience preferred. **Computer Skills** * To perform this job successfully, an individual should have intermediate knowledge of Word and Excel spreadsheet software. * Experience with Fiserv, CustomLender, LaserPro, CT Lien Solutions or comparable software and loan systems preferred. **Certificates and Licenses** * No certifications needed. LaserPro certification or comparable certification a plus.
