Summary
The primary function of the Mortgage Loan Processor is to ensure the timely and accurate preparation of all loans originated by our Loan Officers. Responsibilities include: gathering information and taking each file from pre-approval to closing; inputting proper loan information into the system for processing; ensuring that all loan documentation is complete, accurate, verified, and complies with company policy; verifying loan documents, including income credit appraisal and title insurance, ultimately preparing application for submittal to underwriting; reviewing file documentation and confirming that all items needed are requested; ordering and coordinating loan documents; meeting crucial deadlines requested; and performing any additional duties/activities assigned by management.
Responsibilities
* Liaison between originating team, Borrower, Underwriter, and Closer * Provide customer with timely and periodic status updates of their loan application * Collect required documentation from applicants and follow up on missing items * Establish, maintain, and update files, databases, records, and/or other documents for recurring internal reports * Have knowledge of all loan programs and investor guidelines * Order, review, analyze, verify, and ensure accuracy of (but not limited to) loan application and data, loan disclosures, income, assets, credit report, title report, appraisal report, purchase contract, AUS findings, and lock agreement * Process documents received for each file, verifying the accuracy and completeness of each document * Compile documents for customer files and enter intakes to Encompass for processing and assessment * Assure that all customer files are complete and in compliance with regulatory agencies and internal policies * Prepare and submit loan to underwriting for initial and final approval * Coordinate with Loan Officer, Borrower, Title Company, and Closing for a closing date and time * Prepare and submit loan for quality control and closing; ensure loan meets quality control requirements * Prepare commitment letter(s), denial letter(s), and cancel files when necessary * Maintain pipeline report and notify management of status as needed * If applicable, recommend that loan not meeting standards be denied
Ideal Candidate
* Minimum of two years processing experience required * Ability to work independently with minimum supervision * Must be a team-player * Strong PC skills; must be able to complete data entry with exceptional accuracy * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Solid attention to detail * Must be proactive and reliable * Ability to multitask and effectively manage time * Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals * Promote a positive team work environment through the sharing of knowledge and skills * Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures
