Summary
MarketStar is currently seeking a Channel Account Sales Manager. The Channel Account Sales Manager is part of a sales program that supports business partners in the telephony SMB channel. The position will include account management, end user selling, and consultative sales through various business partners to meet or exceed annual quota via telephone, email & Webinars. The Channel Account Sales Manager will be responsible to increase awareness and drive sales through channel partners within the assigned territory.
Responsibilities
* Develop, nurture and build Channel Partner relationships at all levels with key stakeholders * Serve as primary point of contact for assigned resellers to provide support and address needs * Contact reseller Sales Reps to increase their knowledge on the value of product/solutions, build brand awareness and mind share * Ability to interview potential partners and determine potential as a partner within assigned territory * Manage monthly contact with all partners, engage in sales opportunities, coordinate onsite visits, lunch & learns and trainings * Provide consultative sales support and remote training or demonstrations to business partners and end users * Assist assigned partners in closing sales opportunities * Provide qualified leads to business partners via call campaigns and cold calls * Communicate and implement marketing programs & product updates with business partners. Introduce new product through field trials, marketing programs, technical information through webinars, knowledge transfer kits and direct phone contact * Drive performance of business partners to meet or exceed program metrics, goals and objectives * Handle partner concerns, issues and escalations Engage with Partner Marketing Team for quarterly promotions, field events, and call blitzes. * Develop Business Plans yearly with top partners and measure to them quarterly * Manage and forecast channel sales funnel updating associated data bases
Ideal Candidate
* Two or more years’ sales experience or account management * Computer, software or other IT experience highly preferred * Proven sales achievement and proven problem solving skills * Working knowledge of Salesforce and/or other CRM tools * Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word * Excellent communication skills both verbal and written * Ability to conduct demos, presentations and trainings * Strong organizational, multi-tasking and follow-up skills * Must be self-motivated with strong drive and initiative * Four year degree (Computer Science, Technical Sales, other business or technological) or equivalent experience preferred
