Summary
The Retail Systems Engineer will be responsible for working with the Retail Engineering team to engineer, implement and support retail environments. The Retail Systems Engineer is expected to have strong experience with server and desktop troubleshooting in a Windows 20XX domain. Experience with point-of-sale systems in a retail environment is a plus. The Retail Systems Engineer will also provide Level 3 escalated support to the Helpdesk and Desktop teams as well as interface with multiple outsourced technology partners.
Responsibilities
* Ensure all system related trouble tickets are handled appropriately within SLAs * Create and/or maintain clear documentation regarding all components of system administration * Deploy packaged software using SCCM * Provide escalated support for the Helpdesk, Desktop, Enterprise Engineering and Network teams. * Participate in 24x7 on-call support rotation * Engineer and architect solutions to automate and improve infrastructure
Ideal Candidate
* Must have strong experience in the following areas: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, WINS, SCCM * Must have strong experience administering an Active Directory forest containing multiple domains * Experience supporting common Windows applications including, but not limited to Microsoft Office * Experience using an enterprise-class problem ticketing system (Service-Now preferred) * Experience designing Active Directory group policy * Experience with industry-standard imaging and deployment tools such as WDS, MDT and SCCM OSD * Proficient in PowerShell and with the ability to develop ad hoc tools at scale * Experience maintaining a secure production environment and security standards such as PCI * Experience with release/build/deployment management * 5 + years’ experience with 7x24 production operations * Experience working with major POS hardware vendors such as NCR * Experience troubleshooting OPOS and POS peripherals **Skills Recommended** * Experience working with major POS hardware vendors such as NCR * Experience troubleshooting OPOS and POS peripherals * 5+ years supporting Windows servers and desktops in an enterprise environment **Prerequisites** * Professional presentation and excellent customer service skills * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Must be results-oriented and self-motivated * Must be consistently punctual, dependable and possess strong interpersonal skills * Must uphold the values of: * Passion for Our Clients * Leading Expertise in Beauty * Innovation * Work Life Balance * Respect for All * Taking Initiative * Teamwork
