Summary
The main objectives of the Parts Coordinator position is to maintain overall shop productivity by stocking, and maintenance of an organized and efficient Parts Room. The Parts Coordinator will assist in the performance of shop purchases related to maintenance and repairs of the food manufacturing equipment and all related equipment. The Parts Coordinator will implement and utilize a comprehensive and efficient system for the inventory and usage of all shop supplies, as well as, for receiving part from vendors, and supplying parts to mechanics.
Responsibilities
* Purchase parts and supplies in the most cost effective manner possible utilizing a purchase order system. * Monitor and assure all parts returns are accredited. * Implement a proper core policy for all rebuilt parts. * Purchase all oil and fluids and supervise a cost effective and environmentally responsible means of their waste disposal. Track usage and fill as needed. * Maintain the parts room in an organized manner. * Implement and utilize a comprehensive and efficient system of receiving parts from vendors and supplying parts to Mechanics. * Inventory complete parts room annually. * Assure all parts purchased are invoiced to proper division or customer. Total all parts pricing on invoices. * Communicate effectively both orally and in writing with your manager, other managers and coworkers. * Use independent judgment to develop creative solutions to problems that arise. * Identify problem areas, make suggestions and assist in implementing solutions in conjunction with your manager.
Ideal Candidate
* The ability to identify problems and work in conjunction with others to implement effective solutions. * Excellent communication skills. * Excellent computer skills, within CMMS and ERPs * One (1) to three (3) years previous Parts experience. * Three (3) to five (5) years Mechanical experience. **Education:** * Associates or Bachelors Degree required
