Summary
Repair and maintenance of electro-mechanical equipment such as freezers, electric motors, pneumatic systems, conveyor systems, PLC’s and production machines and equipment.
Responsibilities
* Repair of mechanical equipment including pumps, gear reducers, seals, bearings, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, blowers, and conveyors. * Repair of electrical equipment including motors, electrical distribution center, motor control centers, variable speed drives, transformers, and all electrical controls. * Analyze and solve electro/mechanical problems of processing, packaging, and auxiliary equipment, and to assist manufacturing personnel on process related problems. * Perform established Preventative Maintenance and identify new PM activities, as needed. * Continuous process improvement implementation and origination. * Understand, follow, and implement all safety related standards and practices.
Ideal Candidate
**Qualifications & Characteristics:** * High School degree or general education degree (GED) * 5-7 years of industrial high speed manufacturing maintenance experience, preferably in food industry * Technical certification or degree preferred. * Strong preference for experience with PLC programming & troubleshooting. **Targeted Skill Areas:** * Excellent communication skills both verbal and written * Excellent troubleshooting experience including electrical, mechanical, pneumatics & PLC’s * Good organizational, cross-functional and interpersonal skills * Good math and analytical skills * Computer skills including; MS Office, Outlook, etc. * Must speak, read and write English * Must be able to read and follow blueprints, drawings and schematics * Must provide own tools * Demonstrated expertise in the CMMS environment, preferably SAP * Must be willing to work overtime, off-shift, weekends, holidays
