Summary
Our Tax Analyst professional delivers high value-add to Lincoln by consistently delivering high quality work product which allows us to mitigate risk, effectively manage Federal and State taxes, meet our regulatory obligations, and support our internal business partners. This is achieved by enthusiasm and dedication to the role, a desire to expand one’s technical skillset, participation in projects, and a desire to drive results by contributing to team goals and initiatives and grow within our career framework! S/he will prepare, analyze and report on federal & state income tax returns, GAAP and statutory tax expense, tax balance sheets, and financial disclosures for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Responsibilities
* Prepares GAAP and statutory tax expense, tax balance sheet, and financial disclosures for his/her assigned area of responsibility. * Prepares tax accounting package(s) in accordance with documentation standards and internal control sign off policies. * Provides support to team members for the recording of taxes to the GAAP and statutory ledger and completion of regulatory tax disclosures. * Prepares federal and state income tax returns. * Compiles and documents return-to-provision adjustments (including an assessment on controls), tax return presentation items of note and socializes topics impacting other tax returns. * Communicates to internal stakeholders on the legal entity tax profile for his/her assigned area of responsibility. * Communicates the correct application of tax technical/regulations of our positions to leadership. * Provides management with a tax compliance perspective for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Ideal Candidate
* 4 Year/Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelors) (Minimum Required) * 1 - 3+ Years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Reporting, Tax, or Audit directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position. Experience in financial services, life insurance, or the investment industries desired.
