The ideal candidate will be analytical, customer service oriented, extremely professional, detail-oriented, ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, and have a natural interest in real estate, economics, and current events
- Develop a production schedule of research projects and initiatives
- Gather, analyze, interpret, and present real estate trends, information, and econometric models for internal analysis and client support
- Compile, and distribute market information from third party research providers and online news resources to L&B’s professionals and clients
- Develop proprietary market research narratives, graphics, forecasts and data summaries for internal uses and client support
- Perform basic data analysis including statistical concepts (mean, variance, standard deviation, etc.)
- Write basic commands in Excel to calculate growth rates, interest rates of return (geometric means), percentage values of returns
- Perform correlation analysis, simple regressions, and forecasting
- Study and analyze macro-economic trends and their impact on commercial real estate
- Support L&B’s professionals in developing and presenting investment strategy
- Assist in preparing presentation packages for investment committee and client presentations
- Research technology and cutting edge resources, analyzing their potential benefit for both internal uses and for clients
- Respond to information requests from L&B’s professionals
- Actively network with outside market research analysts and attend market conferences
- Monitor best practices across the country and their applicability to L&B and its clients
- Provide training and direction to others who may assist in market research
- Bachelor Degree in economics, real estate, urban planning, or related field of study
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in commercial real estate-related research and/or market analysis, is a plus
- Strong analytical capability
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Organized and attentive to detail
- Excellent Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint skills; Adobe, Costar and GIS familiarity is a plus
- Ability to work independently to meet goals and objectives
