Summary
BioMed Realty is looking for a dynamic Finance Manager to support corporate finance functions including earnings forecasts, planning and analysis, and preparation of materials and presentations to investors, lenders, ratings agencies, and senior management. The ideal candidate will work closely with all members of the Finance team and provide functional expertise, mentoring and leadership to help the team achieve corporate financial goals.
Responsibilities
* Responsibilities include reviewing analysis for capital market activities, investment opportunities, and valuation decisions; * Evaluating property analysis, review of development underwriting, forecasts of financial statements, investor presentations and tenant credit analyses, utilizing thoughtful judgment as to the appropriate methodology, assumptions and factors that impact results; * Evaluating analyses for potential financing transactions with an ability to determine the appropriate methodology and deliverable for management to make an informed decision; * Providing administrative management for portions of the team, including performance planning and year end performance reviews.
Ideal Candidate
* BA/BS in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field required. * MBA strongly preferred. * Seven plus years of commercial real estate and/or corporate finance experience, and experience managing a staff.; * Significant experience and expertise modeling real estate transactions and/or corporate financial analysis with a comprehensive understanding of real estate fundamentals and valuation methodology for real estate, alternative investments and public companies; * Ability to apply financial concepts and judgment in transaction underwriting, valuation analysis, designing a broad set of deliverables, issue resolution and contributing to strategic discussions; * Thorough understanding of financial statements and accounting principles (GAAP), particularly as it pertains to real estate leases and REIT metrics, as well as an ability to analyze financial statements, operating budgets, and leases for purposes of forecasting, underwriting, analyzing tenant credit quality; * Ability to convey technical information in a clear and concise manner and to interact at a high level with senior management and across the organization; * Organized and task oriented, able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with multiple deadlines and adapt readily to changing priorities; * Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Argus.
