Summary
The Video Sales Associate is an entry level sales position with KARL STORZ Endoscopy. This position reports to the Region Manager with a dotted line to the local market team (1-3 Account Executives). This position takes direction from the Region Manager and/or the local market team as to daily activities and priorities. The Video Sales Associate is accountable for sales and service for all KSEA video products within their assigned market.
Responsibilities
**Essential Functions:** * Level of accountability: Generally Managed * Level of decision making: Limited variety of decisions * Has contact with: Inside and outside the company Staff * Financial/Budgetary: n/a * Supervision: Does not supervise others * Physical Requirements: Position may require lifting or moving heavy or bulk medical equipment. * Travel: up to 25% per year **Job Responsibilities:** * Aggressively sell all KSEA video products to hospitals, and where appropriate, to surgery centers and physician offices. * Manage video evaluations in conjunction with the respective Account Executive. * Provide surgical case support within existing video customers. * Provide dependable service after sale to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term reliability of all KSEA video products purchased. * Establish and maintain strong working relationships with nurses, physicians, materials management, and other key personnel in every hospital within designated geographic area. * Address customer complaints in a timely manner and in accordance with established company policy, advising management promptly of any situation beyond his/her scope of authority. * Be capable of effective presentation and in-service of video product features, benefits, and usage. * Responsible for the collaborative efforts with respective Account Executives of the achievement of the geographic area’s assigned video quota. Annual bonus is tied to this achievement. * In conjunction with local market team, prepare and maintain an annual working sales plan, including analysis, targeting, and forecasting that reflects activities and efforts required to achieve company goals and quotas. * Accountability for all samples provided by KSEA, and, as often as possible, turnover of samples through sales to customers. * Be alert to all competitive products, design, pricing, and promotions, keeping management informed in a timely manner. * When appropriate, recommend the addition of new products and modifications, or new applications of existing products to management. * Comply with all company policies, instructions and directives toward the fulfillment of company objectives. * Submit complete and informative meeting or convention reports as instructed in a timely manner. * Submit weekly activity reports to respective Region Manager. * Complete and submit expense reports in accordance with company policy in a timely manner. * Maintain up-to-date customer records and any other records as required by company policy/instruction. * Submit any special reports related to the operation of the territory as required. * Attend and participate in sales meetings, training programs, and conventions as directed. * Maintain an awareness of likely candidates for the sales force and call any such individual(s) to the attention of the Region Manager.
Ideal Candidate
**Qualifications:** * A minimum education level of BA/BS or equivalent * Certifications/Credentials preferred * 2 years related experience * Experience within the KS organization helpful * Possess exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
