Summary
This role is heavily focused on process. In this role you will own “how we work,” including defining, documenting, and institutionalizing our work flows and communication processes, procedures, and tools by which we get our work done across Intercom. As a member of our People Development team, you will be reporting to the Senior Manager of People Development and be considering the experience of each Intercomrade globally.
Responsibilities
* Define, document, and socialize company-wide process, communication methods and best practices, including internal announcements, communication between the Dublin and San Francisco offices and remote employees, and usage of internal tools * Own the documentation and up-keep of company wide processes and “how we work” * Organize our internal tools for information sharing across teams and the company as a whole * Bring structure to internal office events that have a “production element,” such as All Hands, Show and Tell team demos, and Insights presentations, ensuring the logistics and AV run smoothly * Consider the experience of remote Intercomrades located outside of the San Francisco and Dublin offices * Collaborate with the People Operations, Office Experience, Brand Design, Communications teams, and other relevant internal stakeholders, such as the Intercom leadership team
Ideal Candidate
* 5+ years practical experience, preferably in a tech start-up environment * Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal), exemplary client service skills, the ability to handle multiple projects and competing priorities and adapt to a fluid, high-growth environment * Team player with a sense of ownership and “get things done” attitude - self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced and self-directed environment * Mentor at heart who will nurture the wellbeing of your direct reports and care about their professional development * Demonstrated project management experience * Love for creating and documenting structure and order * Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills * Bachelor's degree, highly desired * Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
