Summary
ITW is seeking a talented, highly motivated individual to join its Corporate Accounting Team as a Senior Analyst in the Corporate Accounting department. The Senior Analyst Corporate Accounting will have a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP as well as some general knowledge of accounting and reporting of company sponsored benefit programs including Health & Welfare Plans, Defined Benefit Pension Plans and Defined Contribution 401(k) Plans. The Senior Analyst will report to the Manager, Corporate Accounting and will also work collaboratively with members of the corporate management team including External Reporting, Tax, Treasury and the Human Resource departments.
Responsibilities
* The responsibilities of the Senior Analyst for this position will initially include: * Responsible for Budgeting, forecasting and accounting for assigned employee benefit programs. * Responsible for the monthly journal entries and close processes for all U.S. Corporate sponsored assigned benefit programs such as Health & Welfare programs. * Working with multiple vendors and reporting formats to accurately interpret information provided and translate into accounting and reporting implications for the Company. * Work with plan actuaries for the proper recording and reporting of Retiree Health & Welfare benefit programs. * Work with external auditors, internal auditors and benefit plan auditors on all reporting and compliance related matters for assigned benefit programs. * Assist with preparation and review and quarterly and annual reporting packages and consolidated footnote disclosures for 10Q and 10K. * Assist with preparation and review of benefit plan financial statements and facilitation of benefit plans audits with external auditors and Form 5500 and Form 990 filings.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance is required. * CPA or advanced degree preferred. * Minimum 5-7 years of corporate accounting or finance experience in a corporate environment or combination of public accounting and corporate environments. * Experience with Accounting and reporting of corporate sponsored benefit programs a plus. * Excellent verbal and written skills. * Attention to detail, with high standards of accuracy and review. * High level of computer proficiency; Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains
