Summary
The newly formed Immersive Experiences Lab of HP Inc. in Palo Alto is look­ing for talented individuals to work with a multidisciplinary team that shapes the future of user interfaces and user experience of the next generation of company products. Our team is a mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary group who are explor­ing the future of human sensing and interaction technologies and developing demonstrators of contextual, fluid, and predictive interfaces and blended reality experiences. We are looking for highly motivated designers, user researchers, com­puter sci­en­tists and engi­neers who can work closely together through­out the devel­op­ment process. Within the group, this runs from drawing insights from user stud­ies, to build­ing novel pro­to­type soft­ware or hardware, to run­ning pilots, and eval­u­at­ing new con­cepts and technologies.

Ideal Candidate
**Education and Experience:** * Candidates must be pursuing an MFA or a PhD or an MS degree in in CS, EE, information science, communications, psychology, cognitive science, anthropology or related disciplines, or an equivalent experience. * Desired skills: * Interaction, visual or industrial design, qualitative and quantitative user experience research, prototyping. * Knowledge and Skills: * Experience in implementing user-centered design methodologies and working in a research organization. * Application and implementation of experimental designs, scientific procedures and processes, and data analysis. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
