Styled Surface Designer

The primary function of the Styled Surface Designer is to own the implementation, refinement and delivery of Class-A CAD files for ID-Driven content. Secondarily, the Styled Surface Designer will provide general design support to the Industrial Design department. Key Responsibilities: * Serves as the primary translator of sketches and reference files into Class-A surface CAD for design visualization and industrialization. * Collaborates with the Design Engineers to ensure that ID deliverables satisfy all project requirements including, but not limited to: industrial process requirements, neighboring system clearances, fastening features, and FEA/CFD analysis. * Provides general support to the Industrial Design department as needed, including research, documentation, visualization, and ideation. * Supports the Director of Industrial Design in a perpetual quest for improvement of the product and the quality of deliverables. * Maintains ID departmental CAD competence and efficiency by keeping current on tools and skill.

Required Education/Experience: * B.S. in Industrial Design or equivalent. * 5+ years of consumer product design experience * 3+ years of styled surface development * Strong Alias experience * Familiarity with a parametric CAD system * Mechanical interest/aptitude Skills and Attributes: * Direct experience in vehicle design- especially power sports * Solidworks experience * Skill in Photoshop/Illustrator * Skill in digital rendering; i.e. Keyshot * Interest/participation in the motorcycle world Other Requirements (if applicable): M1 certification or enrollment in MSF class
