Summary
This role will be responsible for the management and execution of all activities associated with tax reporting and compliance, tax audit response and defense, tax provision, tax financial reporting, and tax planning with respect to U.S. international tax laws and regulations. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to those listed herewith.
Responsibilities
* Calculate foreign tax credits, manage and execute process for preparation of form 1118, and provide input for tax returns and quarterly tax provisions. * Compute and maintain earnings and profits (E&P;) calculations. * Prepare forms 5471/8858 and undertake all activities necessary for compliance with Sub-part F provisions. * Oversee the tax withholding process. * Gather data and information, and prepare responses to IDR’s relating to international tax matters. * Conduct research, analyze data and information, prepare reports, presentations and/or memos, and liaise with operational departments to provide tax efficient and compliant recommendations for different business initiatives. * Liaise with external advisors to ensure compliance and to achieve tax efficiency. * Collaborate with other internal tax contacts to ensure proper reflection of international tax matters in the provision and reporting process. * Perform calculations necessary for determination of R&D; credit. * Prepare International Boycott reports (form 5713). * Manage and execute process for preparation of form 1120-F.
Ideal Candidate
* BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field (required) * CPA, JD, Masters in Accounting, Masters in Taxation or MBA (strongly preferred) * 7+ years of international tax experience with a major multinational corporation, Law Firm, Big 4 or equivalent * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills * Excellent writing skills * Detail oriented, ability to multitask, and excellent project management skills * Advanced MS-Excel modeling skills * Strong understanding of general accounting, finance, legal and income tax concepts * Basic understanding of transfer pricing concepts
