Summary
Responsible for the planning, implementation, monitoring, and management of information technology assets which support the company’s operations. This includes management of internal physical and virtual server infrastructure, core Microsoft components, Email, FTP and all other core productivity software. This individual will implement the strategic vision for the group and be expected to interface effectively with business users at all levels of management. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: adhering to key performance metrics as required by customers and management, proactive management and monitoring of critical systems and SLA and KPI reporting.
Responsibilities
**Key Responsibilities - To simplify complexities for each customer:** * Manages enterprise-wide projects and oversees the work of technical staff engaged in system design, development, and maintenance activities in order to provide project oversight, support, and coordination. * Responsible for the daily management and monitoring of the computing servers, ensuring 24x7 high availability, reliability, sufficient capacity, all while ensuring that computing is delivered effectively and efficiently. * Leads team in the implementation of enterprise-class system environments, branch office system environments, data center systems, security systems and monitoring tools. * Directs staff in the daily monitoring, assessment, and management of IT Infrastructure Services internal physical and virtual server infrastructure, core Microsoft components, Email, FTP and all other core productivity software. * Manage IT System Administrators, providing direction, coaching and training/development * Reviews detailed design specifications for highly complex and large-scale systems in order to plan and facilitate the infrastructure platforms required. * Create/maintain action plan to meet uptime/redundancy requirements for core systems/offices. * Provide after-hours maintenance and on-call support. * Ensures that backup and site-to-site replication services are functioning normally. Monitors secondary/DR site for failover readiness. * Prepare and present weekly system performance, SLA and KPI reports. **Leadership/Supervisory Responsibilities:** Performs supervisory responsibilities by managing and allocating employee resources in accordance with company policies, applicable laws and company initiatives/goals. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training and developing employees; planning, assigning, and directing work (including scheduling); appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Acts as a change agent, and develops a high-performing team in the spirit of exceptional service to all internal and external partners. **Additional Responsibilities:** * Strategic Initiatives: Actively engages in driving strategic initiatives, and the related goals, to ensure the most optimal outcome. * Communication: Effectively communicates using written, oral, non-verbal, and active listening skills. Ideal Candidate
**Qualifications/Education/Certifications:** Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and 6-8 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:** * Ability to do up to 25% travel, as required. * At least 4 years of IT Infrastructure experience. * Minimum of one year of technical leadership and/or departmental management experience. * Strong written and verbal communication skills including ability to develop presentations and present to management. * Experience in data center operations, system monitoring and security management. * Expertise in operations metrics, monitoring and management. * Expertise in executing procedures, quality assurance and general work flow processes. * Proven leadership abilities and exceptional interpersonal, communication and analytical skills. * Excellent organizational and planning skills. * Ability to achieve positive and successful results in a fast paced changing environment. * Decision Making * Drive for Results * Building Effective Teams **Job Competencies:** * Action Orientation * Customer Engagement * Flexibility * Interpersonal Effectiveness * Character * Results Focus * Collaboration **Physical Demands/Working Conditions:** * Employees may be required to lift up to 25 lbs. without assistance and up to 75 lbs. with assistance. * Duties are performed primarily in an office setting. Travel to attend meetings and visit locations throughout the country may be required. Operates computer and standard office equipment, such as telephone and copier/printer.
