Summary
As an Engagement Manager based in our New York office, you’ll directly manage the day-to-day activities with top-tier management consulting clients. You’ll communicate and build relationships with clients to understand project needs and timelines. On a daily basis, you’ll oversee a team of Research Analysts, helping them to identify the right types of experts, develop screening questions, and connect industry experts with your clients. Using the strong relationships that you develop based on service excellence, you’ll collaborate with your Business Development colleagues to expand use of our services. You’ll be a solid team player who thinks independently and has built analytical capabilities to help drive project completion.
Responsibilities
The successful Engagement Manager is a high-energy professional with collaborative, leadership, and analytical skills. That sounds like a tall order, but you’re no ordinary candidate. While you never shy away from hands-on work, you’ve already amassed experience delegating and overseeing the work of others. You know how to lead and influence others to meet critical client project deadlines. You love working fast almost as much as you love working smart. You’re proud of your ability to think creatively and find opportunities to grow relationships and accounts and look forward to further developing those skills. In this position, you’ll hone your management and leadership skills, providing consulting industry insight and sharing best practices with colleagues on other teams and in other offices. And you’ll help build our service teams by participating in campus recruiting events and on-site interviews. Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree from top-tier university * Minimum of two years management consulting and/or related field work experience required * Experience using an expert network * Excellent oral and written communication skills
