From offering search in a single language we now offer dozens of products and services—including various forms of advertising and web applications for all kinds of tasks in scores of languages.
Summary
Google for Work (GfW) is responsible for helping the world go Google, by showing businesses how Google products can make them more productive, mobile and collaborative. We currently support the following four product areas, but also the development of other Google for Work products: Apps (including Gmail, Docs, Drive, Hangouts, etc.), Google Cloud Platform, Google Maps and Devices running Chrome and Android. We do this with a combination of online and traditional sales channels, a variety of partners who promote and implement our products for us, and by marketing and driving product adoption in innovative ways. The Central Operations team is core part of Google for Work, responsible for ensuring our business is focused on the right things, that our processes are aligned across the organization, and that we’re constantly getting more efficiently. We partner across GfW, working closely with the product-aligned Sales Operations teams, in direct alignment with central Finance, and collaborating with the Technology/Systems group to support our various GfW leadership stakeholders. In this role you will lead efforts to bring together cross-functional teams to achieve central business initiatives, and identify areas where they could have more impact working centrally than as individual teams. You will seek out ways to automate and improve processes, ensure we’re driving consistency in reporting/data, and visibility of information/insight. You’ll need to be a self-starter, able to proactively identify the right areas to focus on, and enjoy working with a high degree of autonomy to impact our business through your influence on other teams.
Responsibilities
* Own numerous central sales operations processes to enable the entire Sales teams, support the Product Sales Operations teams and ensure transparency for leadership. * Identify and/or manage one-off programs and projects to drive growth and efficiency throughout the organization and within GfW Sales Operations. * Work closely with go-to-market Sales Operations leadership to understand and shape key priorities, make recommendations and ensure overall go-to-market readiness.
Ideal Candidate
* BS degree in a quantitative field or equivalent practical experience. * 5 years of experience in roles involving project management, technical analysis and/or developing process improvement tools. * Experience working/communicating cross-functionally. * Data querying/analysis experience. **Preferred qualifications** * MS degree in a quantitative field or similar. * Experience querying/analyzing data to drive business insights/process improvements. * Excellent analytical problem-solving skills. Able to build dashboards and automate processes via scripting/coding. * Good business judgment and strategic focus; some exposure to operations process design and process improvement. * Organized, detail oriented, and able to deal with ambiguity in a constantly evolving environment. * Proven communication skills, the ability to work in a cross-functional capacity and influence an audience with a mix of technical expertise.
