Accounting Manager

• Managing the Accounting Department;
• Maintaining the general ledger including journal entries, verifying posted transactions, directing the validation of inventory movements in SAP, and reconciling balance sheet accounts;
• Assisting the plant controller with budgeting activities including preparation and analysis;
• Preparing operating and financial reports, monitoring trends, identifying and communicating financial opportunities and hazards;
• Preparing product costing estimates;
• Assisting in asset management;
• Sales Tax and SOX compliance.

Education:

• 4-year degree required; Accounting degree or accounting emphasis desired.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of accounting experience;
• Production and food industry manufacturing industries preferred;
• Experience or demonstrated aptitude for effectively supervising and directing the work of others;
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, and project management skills;
• Knowledge and experience in GAAP, SAP, Inventory, SOX, Sales Tax, costing, fixed assets, bill of material, etc.;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
