Responsibilities
* The Senior Accountant role prepares and posts daily and monthly journal entries related to corporate department accounts and transactions * Responsible for the accounting of the Company’s debt * Responsible for the accounting and reporting for Corporate payroll and benefit processing * Prepares balance sheet reconciliations and income statement analyses, as well as recurring month-end financial reporting requirements * Reconciles month-end SAP general ledger balances to Hyperion financial reporting database * Prepares monthly intercompany analysis and eliminations * Continues application of SOX internal controls over areas of responsibility * Assists with cost center budgeting and forecasting * Interacts with all levels of the organization, and across all of the Group's segments and business functions * Other duties as assigned
Ideal Candidate
* BA/BS in finance or accounting 5+ years of related experience. CPA a plus * Experience with large, automated financial systems (SAP, etc.) * Experience with debt accounting a plus * Benefits and payroll accounting experience preferred * Strong analytical and problem solving skills * Comfortable communicating across different levels of the organization * Ability to work effectively and independently while managing concurrent deadlines and multiple priorities * Strong process skills with a demonstrated ability to drive change * Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and verbal forms; strong interpersonal skills, and organizational skill * Fully competent in MS Office including strong Excel, database, and query capabilities
