Summary
This position will be part of the AT&T Field Sales team supporting efforts to grow business at AT&T in the Southeast states. The position should be based within the territory – FL, MS, LA, AL, GA, NC, SC, TN, or KY. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of selling optical networking solutions and professional services to Tier 1 Service Providers. AT&T relationships are a plus. Also, the candidate must have demonstrated the ability to develop new business opportunities by interfacing with customers’ planning, engineering and procurement organizations. They will help define and drive requirements, guide business development, product planning, professional services, and help establish Fujitsu as a trusted partner in the transformation of AT&T’s network.
Responsibilities
* Develop relationships with key AT&T stakeholders to create and close strategic sales opportunities in the Telco space * Develop sales strategies to expand opportunities for the Fujitsu portfolio (Optical, Wireless, Software, and Services) * Navigate a complex sales process across multiple organizations within AT&T * Documentation/communication back to Fujitsu leadership and business development of detailed requirements relevant to our AT&T business * Assist in critical sales cycles and key presentations
Ideal Candidate
* BS in Engineering preferred * 10+ years selling or providing engineering solutions involving optical transport equipment, Ethernet and professional services sales * Extensive relationships with and a history of successful selling to Service Providers (preferably to AT&T) * Strong technical sales and presentation skills * Ability to establish and maintain customer relationships with a customer’s engineering and planning organizations * Experience with DWDM, ROADM and Services required; Layer 2 & 3 data networking experience and software experience a plus * Specific experience with selling OSP Planning and Engineering Services desired * Strong written and verbal communication skills
