About Flatirons Solutions
Flatirons provides consulting, technology, and outsourcing for content lifecycle management (CLM) to Fortune 1000 companies across a number of industries.
Summary
Flatirons Solutions is looking to hire a Marketing Manager to join our Boulder team and support the promotion of our industry-leading family of aviation software solutions, CORENA Suite. CORENA Suite solutions are used by the world’s leading aviation OEMs (including nearly all leading jet engine manufacturers and the majority of the top 10 airlines) to manage the delivery of maintenance, tech ops, and flight ops content to hundreds of thousands of users each day. Our mission is turning content into knowledge to help our clients succeed! We are looking for a special person who can not only provide marketing expertise, but also provide aviation and aerospace domain knowledge to help guide marketing efforts for these solutions. For this reason, the ideal candidate will have worked in aviation at some point in their career, either as part of an OEM, airline, or MRO. They will be familiar with both the business priorities of our target industries, and will have a working knowledge of how specifications like iSpec 2200, S1000D, and Spec 2300 are used by the aviation ecosystem. Overall responsibilities in this role will be planning lead generating activities, supporting events, developing materials, and budgeting costs to help promote our solutions to these audiences.
Responsibilities
**We are looking for someone who:** - Has a proven talent for formulating new and valuable ideas and bringing them to life. Creativity is experimenting, growing, taking risks, and maybe even breaking some rules. - Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Being an excellent communicator, both written and verbal, is imperative. - Has a passion for technology. Marketing is ever-evolving and great marketing professionals don’t just keep up with the times; they stay slightly ahead. **What you’ll do all day:** - Manage email marketing, web, and social media activities. Do you have the know-how to build web content and new pages, manage email campaigns, and grow new leads from our social media presence? - Plan and coordinate marketing activates. We will do approximately 15 global conferences annually. - Manage production and vision for sales materials. Plan and create relevant product content (e.g. sales enablement documentation, case studies, product videos, website copy, blog posts) to articulate the benefits and support the selling process of our products. - Collaborate with sales, management, and other key stakeholders to craft and publish press releases on website, through news wires, and social media. - Someone smart (and kind of funny) once said “People don’t buy goods and services; they buy relations, stories, and magic.” **What you will be measured on:** - Quality and on-time deliverables. We are looking for someone who doesn’t settle for just acceptable, but aims for spectacular. - Ability to leverage industry knowledge to develop in-depth strategic marketing plans and more accurate budgets. Plans that result in success! - Ability to adapt to a changing environment and stay organized and effective! We need a dynamic self-starter with the ability to switch gears seamlessly in a fast paced environment. **A few reasons why you might hate it:** - You don’t like the aerospace industry. We need someone who is passionate about our product! It is very technical and we need someone with the capability to speak the language. - Large volumes of work. Your to-do list is longer than the Nile and you have to know where to begin. - You will be required to track, measure, and analyze all initiatives in your line of business. If you aren’t analytical and don’t enjoy using data to optimize results, this might not be the role for you. **A few reasons why you might love it:** - Become the creative genius on the line of business you support. Concentrate your efforts in one area, grow within the industry, and become a superstar! - Plus, you will be managing a line of software solutions that are on the way to becoming the de facto standard in the aviation industry through adoption by OEM's and Airlines. - Collaborating with talented colleagues is fun. Not only will you get to work with a fantastic marketing team, but also work closely with technical and solution leaders. The growth potential is endless. - Laid-back office environment with lots of perks. Do you like riding your bike to work or bringing in your furry four-legged friend? No problem!
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field. - Experience with email marketing, lead nurturing, marketing automation, and web analytics. - Software product marketing experience required. - Aviation and Aerospace industry experience required. - Proficiency in CMS system. Travel 10-20% of the time.
