Summary
As a Senior Information Security Engineer, you will be a member of First Citizens Bank’s Network & Cyber Security team. This position will focus on Security Monitoring, Basic Investigations, and Computer Incident Response.
Responsibilities
- Monitor organization’s networks for security breaches and investigate a violation when one occurs. - Install and use software, to protect sensitive information. - Prepare reports that document security breaches and the extent of the damage caused by the breaches. - Conduct penetration testing, which is when analysts simulate attacks to look for vulnerabilities in systems before they can be exploited. - Research the latest information technology (IT/IS) information security trends. - Help plan and carry out an organization’s method of handling security incidents. - Recommend security enhancements to management or senior staff. - Help computer users when they need to be informed about security procedures.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering, networking or information security technologies, including at least 2 years information security experience in an enterprise environment. -OR- - High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 9 years of experience in systems engineering, networking or information security technologies, including at least 2 years information security experience in an enterprise environment. - First Citizens Bank or Financial Sector experience. - One or more industry recognized technical or security certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), etc. **Additional Requirements:** - Ability to actively participate and facilitate requirements gathering efforts and translating business requirements into technical specifications. - Effectively communicate complex technical material to specialists and non-specialists. - Ability to work effectively under the pressure of tight timeframes and rigid deadlines. - Experience with defining and documenting test plans and measuring the results. - Experience with submitting queries, process requests and analyze results. - Experience with executing scripts, programs and reports. - Excellent oral and written communication skills. - IP Network/WAN/LAN experience. - Firewall/Proxy experience. - SEIM/IDS experience. - Client Server/OS experience.
