Information Security Engineer

IEX is the first equity trading venue seeded by a consortium of buy-side investors, including mutual funds, hedge funds, and family offices. IEX is looking for an Information Security Engineer to be the primary technologist to configure, deploy, and operate information security systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with InfoSec tools and programming, strong networking knowledge, and the ability to adapt to new technologies. We’re looking for someone who is a self-starter with strong communication skills and thrives in a team environment. This is an exciting opportunity, as you will have the ability to mentor junior members and assist in building a team from the ground up.

• Deployment and management of information security technology systems, including centralized logging, SIEM, deep packet analysis, honey pots, forensics, etc.
• Conduct second level incident investigations
• Lead corporate, third party and technology risk assessments
• Manage 3rd party vendor engagements (e.g., penetration testing)

• Self-starter
• Strong written and spoken communication skills
• Effective team player
• 5-10 years’ experience in information security technology roles
• B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• InfoSec accreditation (e.g., CISSP, CISM)
• Hands-on experience with InfoSec tools (e.g., firewalls, SIEM, log aggregation, data loss prevention, intrusion detection systems, phishing training)
• Programming (e.g., C, Python, Perl, shell, Go)
• Strong networking knowledge
• Experience with Enterprise Architecture and System Reliability Engineering teams

Nice-to-haves:

• Risk evaluation (vendor, corporate, technology)
• Policy frameworks (e.g., NIST 800-53, ISO, 27001)
• Experience with regulatory and third party audits
