Senior Security Engineer

Blinds.com, based in Houston, Texas, is the largest online seller of blinds.

Blinds.com is looking for a Senior Security Engineer with experience in deploying and managing multiple types of security appliances such as: Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Intrusion Prevention/Detection Systems (IPS/IDS), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Web Application Firewall (WAF), public key infrastructure (PKI), and SSL decryption.

• Analyzes, designs, develops, configures, tests and implements changes to new and existing custom and third party data sources into the EDW
• This position provides business hours and after hours support for applications already in production and provides technical direction and guidance to less experienced technical staff.

Skills:

• Experience with security engineering and architecture review
• Experience providing subject matter expert (SME) level consulting for an IT system
• Experience in producing documentation for IT projects to include as-built, process, procedure, life cycle management, and other relevant documents
• Understanding of the PCI (Payment Card Industry) data security standard and other regulatory concerns (SOX, FCRA, FISMA, etc.)
• Industry recognized certifications such as: CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manger), etc.
• 3-5 years of IT engineering experience
• 5+ year’s previous technical experience within networking, system administration, or database administration

Education:

• B.S. Computer Science/Engineering or similar technical degree program
• Personal interest in Cyber/Information Security
• A pragmatic outlook that understands security problems as a balance of security and business requirements- Experience with multiple OS platforms, to include Windows, Linux, IOS.
• Operational information security experience working in an enterprise environment preferred
