Summary
The UX Product Owner delivers innovative products that our customers love. This position is responsible for defining, developing, deploying and maintaining a Product Portfolio that provides value to the customer, helps build a sustainable competitive advantage, and delivers measurable benefit to the business.
Responsibilities
* Identify profitable opportunities for the product portfolio based on customer interactions, analytics data and market needs * Prioritize work based on business value, analytics, customer needs and business goals * Chart and publish the Product Roadmap * Create and maintain the product backlog including defining Epics, Themes and Features; assist with the elaboration of those stories to make them granular enough to be achieved in a single sprint * Communicates with customers & prospective customers, as well as stakeholders * Conduct requirement gathering sessions with business owners and project stakeholders * Define customer personas and develop journey maps to guide feature ideation * Participates in usability testing, field testing, focus groups and customer interviews * Define project deliverables, detailing proposed solutions through scenarios, flowcharts, and navigational summaries * Convey the vision and goals at the beginning of every release and sprint * Provide UX design expertise through the entire software product development process, including concept definition, requirements gathering, prototyping, development and testing phases of the development lifecycle * Participate in the daily activities of the agile teams (Scrums, planning meetings, reviews and retrospectives) * Ensure that all copy (including navigation, button and field labels) is clear, concise and user-friendly * Launch products into the market * Manage communication plans to associates and customers * Coordinate the release with other teams, and dependencies * Wind down products that no longer meet market needs * Oversee products already in the market * Establish and report on measurable performance objectives for each project deliverable * Work closely with Support to react to customer feedback * Grow product performance in the market * In addition to the essential job functions described above, all associates will perform duties as requested by management
Ideal Candidate
* 4 year college degree or equivalent. Applicable work experience may be substituted for education requirements. * 3+ years interaction design, information architecture or usability experience - specifically in the areas of application and web design * Excellent analytical, organizational, collaboration, facilitation, and interpersonal skills * Strong understanding of business operations * Understanding of application technology and its capabilities/limitations * Ability to turn complex design challenges into innovative, elegant solutions * Experience participating in user research and usability testing preferred * Excellent verbal, written and oral communication skills. * Practical experience in diagramming tools; other design tools a plus * Contribute to a team environment; able to receive feedback and work designs iteratively
