Visual Interaction Design Intern

Moment’s projects stand on the leading edge of technology adoption, spanning industries like media and entertainment, financial services, healthcare, and education and working with clients to produce successful multi-platform digital products for the web and mobile devices.

We design digital products for some of the world’s best known brands. If you’re interested in joining us as a Visual Interaction Designer you’ll need 2–3 years of hands-on experience in visual interaction design and specification of software or web applications as well as a portfolio that demonstrates your ability to visualize beautiful user experiences, but that’s just the beginning of the story.

In addition to the storyboards, mood boards, and screen mock-ups that come with the territory you’ll get to use those broad skills in business consulting, user research, service design and or prototyping as you work hand-in-hand with our clients’ business and technology stakeholders from product definition through to implementation. Finally, you should know that our working style relies heavily on critique and collaboration. If you can imagine doing your best work in a low-ego, team environment then this position may be for you.

• A love of critique, collaboration and co-authorship (Moment’s three C’s).
• 2-3 years of information architecture, interaction, or interface design experience in a consulting or corporate environment
• A degree in development or design-related field, Master's degree preferred
• Desire to work through the entire design process using methods like sketching, storyboarding, diagramming, wireframing, and prototyping for screen-based experiences
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Appreciation for the potential of 'design thinking' and ability to engage upstream from the traditional role of the designer
