Senior Interaction Designer

Vokal, a leading digital agency, is looking for a passionate senior-level interaction designer to join our growing experience design team. You are a Senior Interaction Designer with a strong sense of user experience (UX) design, who lives for new challenges and consistently delivers on your commitments. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy solving problems in unexplored territories. You get excited about all aspects of an agile user experience design process and look forward to collaborating with clients, developers, and other designers.

• Embody both passion and expertise in mobile experiences
• Demonstrate strong storytelling skills through mobile and web executions
• Take a service-oriented approach to collaborating with clients, Product Owners, engineers, and fellow designers to define interaction functionality for mobile platforms and define approach and solution to challenges
• Exercise extreme attention to detail in all aspects of your work
• Establish and reinforce consistent interaction patterns across mobile platforms
• Pivot between high level product discussions and the low level implications of those discussions
• Maintain a strong desire to learn and implement new interaction design standards and practices
• Exercise versatility in adapting to feedback
• Implement key techniques through Iterative Design, Rapid Design Labs, Graphic Design, Sketch Sessions, Information Architecture & Design, Immersion, and user research
• Develop or contribute to key deliverables such as:
  • User Flows
  • Experience maps
  • High-fidelity, annotated wireframes
  • Low fidelity prototyping
  • Usability Testing scripts and reports

• 4+ years of design experience working with real life projects (if freelance, be able to provide in-depth explanation and examples of previous 3 projects)
• Client management skills, either agency or independent work
• Direct management and coaching of team members and peers
• Proven experience with responsive web and mobile design standards (specifically iOS, Android)
