Summary
Faris Lee Investments is seeking a Real Estate Research Analyst to join our team at our corporate headquarters in Irvine, CA. The Analyst will be an integral part of the resource center supporting the real estate investment and advisory group and will report to the VP of Finance. The Analyst will assist in the marketing and placement of commercial real estate assets as well as the creation of investment packages and proposals for our clients.
Responsibilities
Faris Lee Investments is currently seeking a creative and resourceful self-starter with the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment. Faris Lee Investments underwrites and analyzes over $3 billion in retail assets annually. The Analyst must have a positive attitude, ability to oraganize and multi task, strong project management skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. **Duties:** * Prepare commercial real estate sales packages and submissions for presentation to buyers * Review and analyze legal documents and third party reports as part of the due diligence process * Coordinate information regarding market data, occupancy data, expense analysis, aerials, maps, rent/sales, comparables * Prepare market analysis reports, including vacancy, absorption, and comparable rents and sales * Update and maintain data in company database * Update and maintain sales comparable's for all markets utilizing multiple information services to industry sources * Utilize web-based research tools to obtain property and market information (CoStar, LoopNet, Trepp, etc) * Prepare executive summaries for all active listings * Organize and present data analysis, draw objective conclusions and make recommendations * Perform various ad-hoc reports
Ideal Candidate
**Qualifications:** * Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or related field * 0-2 years experience in commercial real estate, experience in the retail sector a plus * Strong research, analytical and problem solving skills * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, and knowledge of Adobe In-design) * Team player with excellent attitude * Can prioritize work and has excellent time management skills * Self-starter, ability to work with minimal supervision * Must have extremely strong work ethic, high attention to detail, be organized and have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines **Personal Characteristics** * Excellent follow through and attention to detail * Solutions oriented approach to problem solving * Self-directed and assertive; asks the right questions * Excellent people skills with ability to manage up, down and sideways effectively
