Summary
As a product manager for eCommerce APIs and backoffice integration, you will drive the implementation and optimization of business flows, such as eCommerce orders lifecycle and exception handling. You will work closely with software engineering teams to produce requirements in a lean but effective way and prioritize deliverables. Candidates must be customer focused, and backed by sound judgment based on metrics driven decisions. You will ensure that features and business logic result in the best customer experience, while serving internal customers, and ensuring that analytical and events data is captured every step of the way.
Responsibilities
* Work with stakeholders including engineering, line of business GMs, fulfillment team and buyers to understand specific business and technology objectives * Define an implementation roadmap and provide accurate timelines and communicate status back to stakeholders. * Define and document specific requirements in ways that make sense in the context of an agile process (written, visual, direct conversation) in sufficient detail to allow developers to execute effectively. * Come up with competitive intelligence and other metric based solutions to prioritize features * Monitor and understand the development calendar – know where products are in development at all times and manage blockers and dependencies. * Understand the broader product roadmap and technical direction of the company to anticipate future needs and challenges.
Ideal Candidate
* Be technical. Computer Science, or related degree preferred * Experience with Agile methodology required * Experience in e-commerce required, and with REST APIs and backoffice integration preferred * Experience with international payments, multiple warehouses and customer service flows preferred * Have experience using A/B testing to understand if your technology is performing. * Want to learn the business and how our customers interact to anticipate future needs. * Have excellent communication skills. Be proactive. Build relationships across the company and learn what helps the business. * Be cool. Sense of humor, willingness to laugh at danger and an appreciation of the ironic are all pluses.
