Summary
The Global Vice President of Sales for UBC Pharma Services is responsible for working cross functionally with the President of UBC, to establish the best company wide sales strategy for Pharmaceutical manufacturers. This includes directing a global sales team responsible for selling Pharmaceutical Support Services under the UBC division of Express Scripts (ESI). These sales services and strategy are key to the successful growth of UBC. In the role the Vice President of Sales is responsible for supporting a team that is responsible to sell Peri and Post -Approval clinical programs, patient recruitment, comprehensive data analytic offerings, pharmacovigiliance, REMS design and REMS evaluations (KAB Survey), Reimbursement Hub, Nursing and PAP services.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage key relationships with decision markers at current and potential clients to grow revenue to increase market penetration. - Work directly with UBC President and Business Owners, to create goal focused sales strategies and brand/product development - Actively participate in business & community associations with the intention of developing extensive relationships with local influencers and decision makers and lead the resolution of any client/manufacturer communicated dissatisfaction; - Obtain orders for services in respect of new business at or in excess of assigned target; - Maintain expert working knowledge of UBC services, customer applications and key customer needs and requirements for the market. - Attend high profile account presentations; provide coaching and leadership to sales team - Develop and maintain the overall revenue growth plan for the market and requisite reporting. - Proactively identify, develop, coach, and manage direct reports and support their selling activity. - Establishing and executing a comprehensive sales plan for all targeted accounts; - Planning and coordinating all client and prospective client sales activities; - Preparing weekly and monthly sales/activity reports; - Participating in UBC’s annual budgeting process and providing ongoing forecasts of client requirements in order to ensure seamless integration of client needs and operational capacity; - Providing detailed and appropriate leadership to field sales teams; - Researching, analyzing, and monitoring financial, technological, and demographic factors to capitalize on market opportunities and minimize effects of competitive activity; - Monitoring market development/trends to support sales strategy - Monitoring competitive organization - Increasing UBC Pharma Services external exposure by presenting frequently at conferences/conventions - Cross functionally establish strategy for UBC Pharma Services
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Business or Life Sciences, MBA in Marketing or equivalent is preferred - = 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or related contract services related field - = 10 years of direct sales experience carrying products or services in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical or contract services space - = 5 years of line management experience - Ability to lead and manage 10+ direct reports, establishing clear expectations, providing coaching and feedback and assessing and evaluating performance. - Good written and verbal communication skills. - Good interpersonal skills. - Client/manufacturer and pipeline management. - Lead Opportunity/Account targeting - Manage detail and consistent sales process. - Ability to asses client/manufacturer needs - Create market offering/value proposition development - Develop and present value proposition communications and proof. - Ability to effectively negotiate - Direct Clinical and Commercial Sales Teams to secure global sales target - Develop and support the sales team for future growth and new service offerings
